January - May 2010 Class Schedule
All registrations for classes MUST be paid at the time of registration in order to secure your place in the class. We do accept registrations over the phone with a credit card.
If a class is full when you call in to register, be sure to ask to be put on a waiting list as we sometimes have cancellations or we may plan to set up another class when the waiting list has three people. We are happy to call you when a new class is added to our schedule.
Registration refunds will be given if class is canceled or if the student notifies the shoppe 7 days in advance.

We offer a 15% discount on yarn purchased for class and during class dates only. All yarn for classes must be purchased from our shoppe. (Clinic class exempt.) Materials for classes are not included in class registration unless indicated.
We are also appreciative of any suggestions as to a type of class you would like to see offered. Let us know. We are happy to set it up for you.

Advanced Beginners - Adults

Beginning Knitting - Adults

Learn to read patterns, cast-on, knit and purl as well as other basic skills. We will make a simple, elegant vest with buttons down the front. Felting

Finishing Tips & Techniques

Learn to sew seams that disappear, weave ends in correctly, block finished work, pick up stitches for collar and button bands correctly, plus many more tips. Give your knitted garments a professional, finished appearance.

Problem Solving for Knitters - 1

This workshop will focus on identifying and correcting basic mistakes that cause problems for the beginning and post-beginning student. We will cover dropped stitches, twisted stitches, missed stitches, unauthorized increases and decreases and more. Please bring to class 5, 4" x 4" swatches knitted in stockinette stitch. Any yarn many be used, but it will be easiest to see your work on a light to medium colored worsted weight yarn. Please do not bind off.

Socks - The basic sock

Thrummed Mittens
They are so nice and warm!!

Updated version of the “Fleece lined” mitten. Colorful “thrums” are knit into a comfy mitten, forming a thick, warm wool mitten. Project will be knit on double pointed needles. The class is appropriate for anyone who knows the basics of knitting. There will be a materials fee to cover the cost of yarn and thrums. Needles can be purchased at the shoppe. Sizes 6 and 7 will be needed for this mitten. Sample in shoppe.
