April Showers mean new yarn flowers are blooming at the Twin Cities' six favorite yarn shops. The fourth annual Yarn Shop Hop is May 21 to 23, 2010, so make a date with your knitting friends! To begin your journey, pick up driving directions and an entry card at any one of the shops listed. At each shop, get your entry form stamped and pick up a free pattern for a unique Yarn Flowers knitting project. At the same time you can also enter your name for exciting door prize drawings at each shop. A completed entry form, stamped at each and every shop, qualifies you to enter the drawing for the Grand Prize or one of six First Prizes. The grand prize is a Knitting Basket and the First Prizes are Knitting Bags; all are filled with knitting and crochet goodies galore. The first day of the Shop Hop is Friday, May 21st. You can complete the Shop Hop all in one day or spread it out over three days.

LIMITED EDITION YARN: To celebrate the blooming of spring's yarn flowers the shops have commissioned a bouquet of stunning, limited edition hand dyed yarns. Each shop will have its own color that will be featured in the free pattern that will be given to shop hop visitors.

HELP STOCK LOCAL FOOD SHELVES: Each shop will have a limited quantity of collectible flower charms. To qualify for the charm you will need to make a donation to the local food shelf designated by each shop or make a purchase. In addition, your completed entry card along with a qualifying donation or purchase will entitle you to a 2010 charm (only one purchase is required at the final stop for that shop's charm and the 2010 charm). The food shelf donation can be in the form of non-perishable food items or check.

Rules for Grand Prize Drawing and Charm:

1. Only one entry per person.
2. Must have all six official stamps to be eligible to enter Grand Prize Drawing/First Prize Drawings.
3. Official Stamps can only be obtained May 21, 22, 23, 2010 and must be obtained in person.
4. Grand Prize Drawing on Friday, May 28, 2010. Winners will be notified by June 2, 2010.
5. Shop employees are not eligible to win Grand Prize or First Prize.
6. No purchase necessary for pattern. Purchase or donation to Food Shelf necessary for charms.
